Hand piece is an opto-mechanical precision tool made of optics, precision mechanics and electronics. Its aim is to rule the laser radiation originated from the optical fiber, making the laser beam compliant to application requirements and to the even more stringent international safety rules. By mean of this the energy is transmitted with any loss. This is an important task because if there would be any energy loss, many parts of the hand piece would be damaged.
How do hand piece born? To get them delicate and specialized steps are required. We start from optical modeling: the behavior of the laser beam through the optical parts of the hand piece is studied. Different solutions are studied and by comparing all of the best is selected. Then the simulation is extended to accessory devices such cameras, sensors, lighting devices.
